This is a polyester
end cap that is two tubes in one. The inner
tube is 3 mil 50% heat shrink film. The outer
tube is non-shrink polyester film. When heat
is applied the inner tube shrinks down on
the termination, the outer tube remains as a protective
shell. There are
a few advantages to this new product, for example
you will save money because the non-shrink film
is 1/2 the cost of shrink film. It is cosmetically
appealing since the outer tube remains smooth after
heating. It is more durable with a 50% increase
in puncture resistance. As well as more dielectric
strength, increased by 25%.
