Nomex®/Polyester®
This combination of
spiral plies of polyester bonded to an inner layer
of Nomex® provides a unique combination of insulating
properties.  The
Nomex® is highly resistant to heat, permitting soldering
or welding without damaging the polyester film.
The polyester film brings high dielectric characteristics
to this tubing.
The semi-rigid sleeve structure
offers excellent tensile strength and can be fabricated
by punching, curling or flaring. Standard make-up
is .003 of polyester film over .003 Nomex®. However,
it can be made in any combination required.
Applications include coil
forms, armature shaft bushings, crossover and lead
wire insulation. Its low cost and ease of use will
permit a variety of other uses in electrical and
electronic assemblies.
