Kapton®
Tubing of this high
temperature polyimide film is produced by spirally
winding strips of film using a unique adhesive for
lamination. Kapton® tubing has outstanding retention
of properties through high and low temperature extremes.
Kapton® also
exhibits high dielectric qualities and can be used
in combination with other substrates, such as Nomex®,
to solve a special insulation need. This tubing finds
application in computer coil forms and electronic
insulation.
Kapton® tubing has no parallel
among organic materials in resistance to high energy
radiation. It provides the highest degree of electrical,
physical, and mechanical insulation of any known
films. If a need exists for high temperature, thin
wall, high dielectric tubing - Kapton® is the choice.
