Shrink Polyester
This highly versatile
thin wall tubing combines high dielectric strength
with resistance to continuous operating temperatures
up to 150°C. It
is fabricated by spirally winding strips of polyester
film into tubular form using a specially formulated
polyester resin as a bonding agent. The adhesive
and the film have comparable properties to provide
long life under a variety of service conditions
(see chart below for details).
Typical applications
include insulation for welded leads and splice joint
connections, coverings, coils, stacks, and other
components in electrical motor applications - plus
applications in transformers, thermostats, calculators,
telephone relays, and many other industries where
this extremely durable film can be used.
